MARINA GARDENS

MARINA GARDENS

Marina Gardens designed by Barocde Architects and Knerer und Lang forms a new residential quarter along the Elbe River in Dresden, positioned between the riverside landscape and the existing urban fabric. The project defines a new edge along the water while maintaining visual connections to the historic skyline, including the Canalettoblick.

The development is composed of four building volumes arranged around a shared inner garden. Together, they create a cohesive ensemble that mediates between city and river. Gently articulated forms and a distinctive aubergine façade tone give the buildings a unified identity, while large loggias, floor-to-ceiling glazing, and generous terraces extend the apartments outward and reinforce the relationship between interior and landscape.

The project was awarded “Excellent Architecture – Residential” at the German Design Awards 2026.

At the centre of the ensemble, the landscaped courtyard functions as the social and ecological core of the project. Located within close reach of public transport, Marina Gardens connects residents directly to Dresden’s city centre within minutes.
