Building 2 opens to the city: it houses the practice-based education and the care centre receives real clients as part of the health education curriculum. The building is characterized by an attractive ascending atrium that forms a continuation of the landscape outside. The atrium extends all the way to the north side of the building, where it ends as a large window towards the city. The central atrium forms the heart of the building and brings visitors, clients, students, and teachers together.

The building is read as two stacked volumes, each forming a distinct front. The lower two layers enter into a direct relationship with the heart of the campus, while the upper two layers enter into a relationship with the city on the north side. The square-facing façade is characterised by harmonica folds and bay windows that form a connection with the campus: they form the display windows of Fontys and make the activity in the building visible.
